Torqfile keeps the data needed to run the desk. It is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.
What is stored
- Workshop name, email, and a hash of the password.
- The plan, the period, and the file and credit balances. Card numbers stay with Creem. Torqfile does not store them.
- The original read, the result, the ECU, the solutions you asked for, and the time of the job, so you can download the file again.
- The time you accepted the lawful-use terms.
- Messages you send from the Support page and our replies. A new message is also forwarded to our staff chat, and our reply is emailed to the address on the account.
- Server logs, including IP address, for security and to diagnose a failed job.
- Page view counts kept on our own server: the page, the referring site, and the device type, without the IP address. A random visitor number is added only if you allow the visitor cookie. Counts are deleted after 13 months.
Why
The data is used to open the account, take payment, process the file you asked for, show your history, and answer a support question from the email on the account. It is not used to build an advertising profile.
Who else sees it
Creem processes the payment. The host stores the database and the files. A file is sent to the file service that applies the solutions, together with the solutions you asked for, and the result is brought back to your desk. That service sees the file and the requested work, not your card. Files are not sold or published. A request from a court or a regulator is answered when the law requires it.
How long
Account and payment records stay while the desk is open and for as long as tax and fraud rules require after the last charge. Job files stay on the account so the workshop can download them. You can ask for the account to be closed and the personal data erased, except records that have to be kept.
Your rights
If the GDPR applies to you, you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, a limit on processing, a portable copy, or an objection. Write from the email on the account. A reply is due within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
